About Me Ant Sivik is a professional Tattoo Artist, co-owner of Raven's Quill Tattoo, and freelance illustrator and concept artist with over 10 years of experience. Extensive background in working under tight deadlines while multi-tasking numerous assignments. A self-sufficient quick learner of the arts but excellent team player who loves to work within a community of artists tackling challenging projects. Sivik has a graphic design background and was co-owner of a small LLC art service provider called Abstracity as well as a comic book illustration background since attending The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art, and learned under talented artists in the industry.
As a tattoo artist, I got my start working directly under Tattoo Tony owner of Under My Skin. I was his apprentice and learned the art, history and culture of tattoos and had the pleasure of traveling with him to work conventions on the East Coast. As an artist now at my current shop, I take care of many walk-ins but mostly work by appointment basis. If you would like to make an appointment with me, please visit my "Contact" page and email me. My tattoo work tends to be more Neo-Traditional at times, but I am working to transcend my work to more of a New School style. I do love a good black and grey tattoo however, and am looking to expand my portfolio's theme to be more pop culture, video game and comic subject matter, so if that is something you would like to get, definitely contact me! In between running a tattoo shop and drawing for clients, I also dabble in Board Game Design and working very hard to publish a few of my very own board games that I have spent years creating. I was the owner of Abstracity L.L.C. which was a small art service provider, aimed to deliver excellent work on time to fit the customer's need, within their budget. Creating artwork that represents and brands a business or an individual was our main goal when it came to designing a logo, or any other graphic or illustrative work of art. *Unfortunately Abstracity LLC is closed down for the time being until I decide to reopen myself to start taking job offers again. I have many side projects that are in the works. As a freelance illustrator I'm fortunate to have some extra time on my hands to work on my own personal stories and comics, applications and games, and the occasional painting. If you would like to hire me to do a commissioned piece, once again please contact me through email by visiting my "Contact" page. |
Education |
Before I completely decided to go to the dark side and become an artist, I was initially aiming to become an architect. I went to Brookdale Community College and studied architecture there for a short period until I realized my true passion lied in the art itself.
Taking a quick detour to become a full fledged Tattoo Artist and completing my apprenticeship through Under My Skin, I worked for 4 years in the tattoo industry full time before taking a break in tattooing (still tattooed on the side) to go back to school yet again but this time to The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art which is a prestigious "one of a kind" art school located in Dover, NJ geared towards comic and commercial art. As a passionate reader and eye googler for comics, I decided I wanted to get my feet wet in the comic industry whether it was to work for one of the big dog companies, or self-publish my own graphic novel which is in the works. After school I dived back into tattooing full time, became a business owner and have been working on personal comic projects and table top games ever since! |
